The publisher and the service

This website is published by Moxbejellytornado Media Ltd, company no. 15930742, registered office: 31 Oxford Street, Southampton, SO14 3DJ, United Kingdom. Contact [email protected].

The site provides independent editorial material and a local tool for preparing correspondence. It does not sell yacht construction, materials, surveys or certification. No professional engagement is created by reading a page, using the tool or sending an unsolicited question.

Information, not project approval

Articles explain general principles. They are not engineering calculations, installation specifications, safety instructions, legal advice or confirmation that a material complies with a vessel’s requirements. Original diagrams are conceptual and not to scale unless expressly stated otherwise. Do not fabricate or alter a component using them as construction details.

Actual requirements depend on factors including vessel type, flag, operating status, construction and classification arrangements. Consult the responsible yard, designer, engineer and relevant approving parties. Confirm current standards, rules, product instructions and certificates before making a project decision.

Aesthetic suitability, a supplier description or the words “marine grade” do not establish regulatory acceptance. References to brands, standards bodies and classification societies do not imply affiliation, endorsement or review of this site.

Accuracy and availability

We aim to explain subjects carefully, but information and external sources can change. We do not guarantee that all material is complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. You are welcome to report a specific error through the Contact page.

The site may be updated, interrupted or withdrawn. External websites are outside our control, and a reference link is not a warranty of their content or availability.

Using the enquiry tool

The tool prepares text in your browser. It does not send email or submit an enquiry. Copying depends on browser permissions; downloading depends on your device settings. Review the proof before sharing and keep your own copy if needed.

You are responsible for the information you include and for having permission to share it. Do not use the tool or our contact address to send unlawful, abusive, misleading or confidential material that you are not entitled to disclose. We do not guarantee a response or a response time.

Copyright and references

Original editorial text, site design and original diagrams are protected by intellectual property law. You may read, print and save pages for personal reference. Other uses must be permitted by applicable law or authorised by the relevant rights holder. Do not imply our endorsement or remove attribution when relying on a lawful quotation.

Photographs, trademarks, standards and externally linked documents may have separate owners and licence conditions. A reference on this site does not grant rights to reproduce third-party material. You retain rights in your own enquiry text.

Responsible access

Do not attempt to interfere with the site, introduce harmful code, bypass access controls or misuse another person’s information. Linking to an ordinary public page is welcome where the link does not misleadingly imply a relationship or endorsement.

Liability and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses resulting from reliance on general editorial material as project advice, or for the availability and content of external sites. This does not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights or other protections that apply to you. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent legally possible.

Law and updates

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights that apply where you live. Courts and dispute procedures remain subject to applicable legal protections; these terms do not prevent a consumer from using a court available under mandatory law.

We may revise these terms as the site changes. The effective date identifies this version. Our Privacy and Cookies notices explain information handling separately.
